I’m always being introduced to new beauty products, but I’m quite particular about what earns a permanent place in my routine.

My hair can look dry, especially after styling, but many oils are simply too heavy for it.

I shake it first, then lightly mist it through the mid-lengths and ends. It can be used on wet or dry hair, but I particularly like it as the finishing step after styling.

We spend so much time looking after our faces and often stop at the jawline.

The skin around the neck and décolletage deserves attention too, particularly as it becomes drier and starts to change with age.

I like that it is a targeted product without being fussy. I apply it to my neck and décolletage and give it time to absorb before following with moisturiser.

3. Runway Room First Base Hydrating Primer

Primer makes a noticeable difference to how foundation sits on mature skin, but it needs to add moisture—not another dry layer.

Runway Room First Base Hydrating Primer feels more like skincare than a traditional makeup primer. It contains 2% hyaluronic acid and creates a smooth, hydrated base with a subtle glow.

I apply a small amount after skincare, leave it to settle for about 30 seconds and then follow with foundation.
