I'm Wanda, founder of Estetika. I started my business at 50, and now, at 54, I'm discovering that one of the greatest gifts of getting older is feeling liberated. This episode is a little different. Instead of one woman's story, I want to talk about something that affects all of us.

When did we become so comfortable judging?

When did women become so comfortable judging how other women choose to age?

Grey or coloured, natural or treated. Whatever you choose, someone has an opinion. Why should any of us have to explain?

Two choices, both fabulous

Look at Kris Jenner. She's chosen cosmetic surgery and looks fabulous.

Another woman her age might choose to age naturally and look equally fabulous.

Why should either woman have to defend her choice?

My own choices

And yes, I've had beauty treatments myself. Not for anyone else's approval, but because I want to look and feel fabulous for me.

Speaking up for other women

I've also challenged friends and spoken up when I've heard women judging other women for their appearance or their choices.

Because I believe supporting women means respecting decisions we might not make ourselves.

Why this stayed with me

We've finally reached an age where we can celebrate the skin we're in. I'd love to see more women lifting each other up, not pulling each other apart.
